- called him or her back
- listened to my mom or dad
- told them I loved them
- forgave him or her
- asked are you ok?
Having regret weighs heavy on your mind. Its not a good feeling, it can stop your from getting to that next level in life, or hold you back from living and learning. Looking back I can specifically remember in high school being afraid to try out for any sports. However my last two years I decided to join track, and loved every minute of it. I was able to meet new friends and become familiar with working in a team. Playing a sport can build a tremendous amount of confidence to achieve other goals in any area of your life. During my senior prom I got the courage to ask my crush to dance, and soon became my current boyfriend. These examples are some what small and personal, but this philosophy can be applied to any situation.
I would like for this bumper sticker to emphasize how important it is to understand how limited our time here on earth really is. As human beings, we owe it to ourselves to take risks, to "jump than fall." This bumper sticker would hopefully be a reminder to maximize our experience during our short years of life. We all know or have heard of someone young, who has unexpectedly passed away. Although it is unfortunate, let that be a reminder....tomorrow is not promised.
great post. i feel the same way. i like your use of personal eperiance...well done.
ReplyDeletethis couldn't be anymore true! you are never promised to live tomorrow so I think you should always do what you want, and stand up for it!!
ReplyDeletei agree totallly! life is to short to sit back with regrets. You need to experience life to the fullest, try things you would never try, do things that you would never do. A everyone says, you only live once!
